Snowmageddon.......

Today I learned firsthand the value of a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Kansas City has been getting POUNDED by snow the last few days-It is so weird, it just comes in waves. It has been quite the winter.... Bitterly cold, but no snow for so long then BAM! (with more snow to come again on Sunday) The worst part is-2 of the tires on my car are damn near bald so without Josh's truck I would have been unable to make the 30 some mile commute to work this morning.

Here are a few pics of the snow....

This was my street when I got home from work yesterday....

My Loving husband went out and shoveled the driveway, steps, and then went around to the back of the house to shovel the deck so that the dogs can get to the backyard to "potty"...

Bad thing is-less than an hour later it looked like this:

On a lighter note-work is still slow, and so I have been online shopping today! ;) Well, browsing really. I decided that I really should invest in a pair of snow boots-because you never "think" you need them until you truly do... I am currently in love with these:

I just want to see where I can find the best deal! :)

Anyway-back to "work" ;)

Whew! What a day!

Wow, Well since we are slow at work today, I decided to update my blog... Not just to type a blurb or two, but to get a new design and all! I LOVE it! A BIG shout out to "Cutest Blog on the Block" for a freaking sweet blog background! I DO LOVE Cherries! :)

In other news... I am starting to feel better-I went home from work sick last Friday and ended up sleeping that entire night, and all of Saturday too! Today I am just mostly congested with a sinus headache... hopefully another night of going to bed early after a hot bath might get me back to 100%. :)

OH, and my FAVORITE news ever! I am going to the NKOTBSB (New Kids on the Block/Backstreet Boys) concert in July and I am STOKED! It honestly made my life!! :) I never got to go to any of their concerts when I was a kid because we couldnt afford it and last time they were in town, I had bought a ticket and was sick as a dog so I couldn't go!.... I remember a time when I was younger-NKOTB was at Sandstone Amphitheatre. My parents took us kids to McDonald's to get some food (probably a Happy Meal) and then took us up to the park to play...which was right next to Sandstone. This was my mom's way of taking me to the concert.... I still remember it to this day! Ahh, the little things in life.... Anyway, I am going to be scouring Ebay until July to find the PERFECT NKOTB garb to wear to the concert! I'll have to post pics after the show.

P.S. I am not perfect-and at times may type out some run on sentences, or say things that may offend you....Sorry in advance! ;)
